Diana Agu

Diana Agu is a public servant, experienced business and strategy leader, and social impact professional. She combines deep corporate leadership with a passion for community empowerment and education. 

Diana studied Law & Criminology in the United Kingdom and has completed executive and management training in the United States, building a career that spans technology, financial services, healthcare, and public governance.

Diana’s work is rooted in empowering others, designing systems that are accountable, inclusive, and effective, from corporate environments to community organizations.

Public Service & Governance

On January 5, 2026, Diana was sworn in as a member of the Morris School District Board of Education after being elected the previous year. 

She is the first Nigerian-American and the second African American woman to serve the district, continuing a legacy of service that spans nearly six decades. In her role, she works alongside families, educators, and community leaders to advance academic excellence, inclusive learning environments, and strong governance for all students.

Following her confirmation by the New Jersey Senate in December 2025, Diana joined the New Jersey Advisory Commission on the Status of Women after being nominated by Governor Phil Murphy. 

As one of nine appointed commissioners, she collaborates with the Division on Women and state partners to provide advisory insight on policies and programs that advance equity, opportunity, and outcomes for women and families across New Jersey, representing nearly five million women statewide.

Diana’s professional background includes more than 17 years of leadership in both corporate and entrepreneurial settings. 

She has held senior roles focused on strategy, business transformation, and organizational excellence, where she built and led teams, managed multimillion­-dollar initiatives, and drove meaningful results.

Her corporate leadership includes work in technology, financial services, and business strategy, equipping her with a practical, systems-oriented lens that she applies to her public service and consulting work.

Diana is an accomplished speaker and event curator. She has been invited to share insights at major platforms, including events hosted by Google, Women in Technology, JP Morgan Chase, Capgemini, Positive Planet US, DevFest, and WomenTech Network.
